PT Dirgantara Indonesia Send direct airplane NC212i Thailand orders

Merdeka.com-PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) or PT DI directly send direct (Ferry Flight) airplane NC212i to Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) Thailand from Hanggar Delivery Center of PT DI, Bandung, to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan.

Corporate communications and Promotion manager OF PT DI, Adi Prastowo said, commercial director OF PT DI, Ade Yuyu Wahyuna reviewed the preparation and release of NC212i aircraft delivery and was planned to arrive at Thainland on October 24, 2019.

Then it was flown back to Hat Yai International Airport, Thailand, the southern part near the border of Malaysia and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the last destination.

The NC212i aircraft will perform the Final Acceptance by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC), on 25 October 2019.

The signing of the procurement contract of two NC212i aircraft units was implemented on 17 March 2017 between PT DI and AICE Enterprises (Thai) Co Ltd with end user is the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) Thailand.

The remainder of one aircraft unit of a procurement contract of two NC212i aircraft units was planned to be handed over by the end of this year.

This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop/paratroop transport and medical evacuation that can be installed in turn in accordance with the operational needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative ( MOAC) Thailand.

The NC212i aircraft has been fully undertaken by PT DI, meaning that PT DI is the only aircraft industry in the world that currently manufactures NC212i aircraft. PT DI has successfully carried out deliveries OF aircraft and helicopters, both domestic and overseas, as many as 443 units.

PTDI has managed to produce NC212 aircraft as many as 114 units for domestic and overseas, from a total of 585 units of NC212 series aircraft population in the world.

The domestic operator who uses NC212 series aircraft is TNI AU, TNI AD, TNI AL, police, BPPT, where the NC212 series aircraft is used for civilian transport aircraft, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA).

While the foreign operators were Thai countries for military transport aircraft and weather modifications (rain making), the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft.

The prospects of the aircraft industry today have a considerable market share, especially in commercial aircraft and the needs of the world's NC212i aircraft for the next 10 years namely as many as 255 units.

Expansion to Africa
PTDI's future expansion plans are IN Asia Pacific and Africa. PT DI will improve the production capacity of NC 212i aircraft which originally four aircraft per year, into six aircraft per year, which will begin next year to meet the target needs of NC212i over the next 10 years.

NC 212i is a new generation multi-purpose aircraft from NC 212 with a capacity of 28 passengers, has a ramp door, a large class cab, a more modern navigation and communication system, a lower operating cost but still competitive in Small aircraft market.

Meanwhile, Thailand, the second most widely used PTDI products.

In the export market, Thailand is the second customer who bought the most aircraft made by PTDI because it is considered according to the terrain and the needs of its defence.

In addition, the geographical location of Thailand close to Indonesia facilitates the after sales support activities.

In 1978, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC), Thailand purchased two units of aircraft NC212, then in the year 1980 bought NC 212 as many as two units and the year 1982 bought another unit of NC Aircraft 212 production of PT DI.

In 1999, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC), Thailand purchased two units of CN 235 Military Transport.

Thailand also bought an C212-400 aircraft to carry out rain making, the aircraft was shipped PTDI to Thailand in 2015. So that the total aircraft that had been purchased Thailand until now reaches 8 units.
