Indonesian aerospace receiving orders 20 aircraft units

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia-PT Dirgantara Indonesia said it has received an order of 20 aircraft units N219 Nurtanio. The order comes from PT Aviastar Mandiri.

The commercial director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia Irzal Rinaldi said the aircraft was planned to be used to meet Aviastar transportation needs in the pioneer region.  "N219 aircraft was developed to meet the needs of national air transportation in the pioneer region and can be used for a wide range of needs, such as; Transportation of passengers, goods and air ambulance,  "he said as quoted from Antara, Thursday (4/10).

Irzal said the signature of the flight booking has been conducted in between the Indonesian Business and Development exhibition 2018 conducted in Surabaya, Wednesday 3/10).

The signing was conducted between THE director of Commerce of PTDI, Irzal Rinaldi and President Director of PT Aviastar Mandiri, Muhammad Alvin Reza, and witnessed the deputy field of business of mining, strategic industry and Media, Ministry of SOE, Fajar Harry Sampurno together THE President Director of PTDI, Elfien Goentoro.

N219 Nurtanio is a 19-seater aircraft. The aircraft has two turboprop engines that refer to the CASR Part 23 regulation. The idea and design of the aircraft and the development of the program were conducted by PTDI and LAPAN.

By PTDI, the aircraft will later be produced gradually. For the initial stage of production will be carried out by six units using existing production capacity, then run the automation system in manufacturing process, and gradually the delivery capability will continue to increase until reaching 36 units per Years.

The aircraft was its claim, a maximum speed of 210 knots and a low of 59 knots. That means the speed of the aircraft can be quite low, but it can still be controlled so it is especially important when entering the cliff area.

"This type of aircraft is relevant to the natural conditions in Indonesia that are generally hilly and many mountains that require a plane with maneuverability at low speed," he said.
