Indonesian Made Aircraft Used by the Nepalese Army

Nepal is the 23rd country in the world and the 2nd in South Asia to use CN235 aircraft made in Indonesia after Pakistan.

JAKARTA - KABARE.ID: CN235-220 aircraft made by PT. Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) was ordered by the country of Nepal. The aircraft, valued at USD 30.5 million, will be used as a multipurpose conveyance.
"The use of Indonesian production aircraft by the Nepalese Army has further strengthened world confidence in the work of the nation's children," said Elfien Goentoro, President Director of PTDI, at the official release of CN235 to Nepal, in Bandung, 30 October 2019.

Elfien said that Nepal's trust in aircraft made by PTDI was getting stronger after the Nepalese ground forces team visited Bandung to inspect the CN-235 directly in September. Besides Nepal, PTDI is producing a number of aircraft for several countries including Senegal and Thailand.
The purchase of this aircraft uses a funding system through a program from LPEI, namely the National Interest Account which is the policy of the Government of Indonesia in the context of strengthening export financing.

In addition to PTDI, a number of other SOEs are also conducting a number of project discussions with countries in the Asia Pacific and Africa region, including PT. Waskita Karya, PT. INKA, PT. Pindad, PT. LEN, Perum Peruri, PT Pelindo II and PT. GMF Aero Asia. (bas)
