BELL and PTDI Celebration 70th Aircraft Delivery

Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) today celebrated the 70th aircraft delivery from Bell to PTDI. The aircraft is a Bell 412EPI which is part of a nine aircraft order from the Indonesian Army earlier this year.
Under that contract, Bell will deliver the nine helicopters to PTDI, who will then perform customization work before final delivery to the Indonesian Army. To date, PTDI has received two of the nine aircraft at its facility in Bandung.

It is fitting that the 70th aircraft is a Bell 412EPI, which the Indonesian Army has operated successfully in a wide variety of missions for more than 20 years,” said David Sale, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Bell. “We look forward to working closely with PTDI in supporting the vertical lift needs of the Indonesian Armed Forces.”
In 2016, Bell and PTDI signed an expanded Industrial and Commercial Agreement which enabled the two companies to expand their support and services in Indonesia to Bell helicopter operators. In addition, PTDI produces the tail boom, door assembly, door post, pylon and ducts for the Bell 412 and Huey II helicopters.
Bell has been present in Indonesia for more than 50 years with an estimated one hundred and ten aircraft currently in operation. Bell’s presence in Indonesia includes a Bell-authorized service facility, a certified maintenance facility and dedicated customer service engineers located in Jakarta.
